Jasmine Birtles is a financial expert, TV presenter, author, journalist, business commentator and humourist. Her mission is to de-mystify money and give practical advice to help people get out of debt and manage their finances by spending less, making more and investing for a secure future. She has money saving and money making ideas as well as wise spending habits. She's a financial expert with a twist – unique in that she is able to combine her knowledge of business and personal finance with her comedy skills, making a worrying subject palatable and easy to understand.

On television she has presented an authored documentary on Channel 4's 'The Insider' series on personal debt, co-presented BBC 1's 'Homes under the Hammer', ITV Scotland's 'Spend Spend Spend' as well as 'First Time Buyers' and 'Doctor Dosh' for UKTV Style. She regularly appears as a financial expert on 'Daybreak', 'This Morning', 'The Wright Stuff', 'Working Lunch', 'Tonight' and all the news channels. She has presented on line for BBC RaW Money (part of BBC Learning) offering advice on financial literacy and skills for everyday life. Jasmine can also be heard on radio, regularly contributing to LBC, 'Steve Wright' on Radio 2 and many other programmes.

She has set up, and runs, Moneymagpie.com, a lifestyle-based money website which has information on all aspects of personal finance, environmental and ethical living and on how to run a small business and make extra money. It is the country's leading site for safe and legitimate money making opportunities.

As a financial journalist she writes regularly for the 'Daily Express', 'Readers Digest', 'First Time Buyers Magazine', 'The Independent' and the 'Independent on Sunday'. She also writes for various other national newspapers and magazines including 'The Guardian', 'The Observer', 'The Mirror', 'Spectator Business', 'Essentials', 'Best', 'AOL Money', 'Marie Claire', 'Glamour', 'Prima' and many others.

She is the author of 39 books, a mix of humorous and financial titles, including the best seller 'A Little Book of Abuse', 'A Girl's Best Friend is her Money', 'A Bit on the Side: 500 Ways to Boost your Income', 'The Money Book: Control Your Money Control Your Life', 'The Money Magpie – the ultimate guide to savvy spending, ditching your debts and making money', and her latest book 'Beat the Banks!' which reveals how to take back control of our finances.

As a business commentator she regularly comments on subjects such as retail trends, entrepreneurship, house price indices and interest rates. As an after dinner speaker and corporate presenter, she has hosted conferences and entertained audiences for a wide variety of companies.
