Brought up in Northern Ireland (she still retains the accent), Diana trained as a journalist and reporter, working for BBC Northern Ireland before joining the BBC Radio 4 'Today' programme. Diana has chaired workshops, seminars and conferences and undertakes media training. Debates are her speciality, whether live on air, or for the corporate sector, when all opinions get a fair hearing and rowdy audiences are kept under control. Recent bookings include the hosting sessions for Rotary International and facilitating a Collaboration and Teamwork Conference for Siemens. Diana Madill has chaired open floor discussions for meetings of the ETF - the European Training Foundation, which is an agency of the European Union based in Turin in Italy. The foundation is involved in supporting countries in and around the European Union in developing best practice in training and employment policies. The conference sessions which she hosted, in Turin and Rome, were attended by government representatives from several countries, and so discussions were multi-lingual and involved accommodating interpreters for the delegates. The aim of the conferences was to help governments iron out the differences in employment rules and regulations in the EU, so that workers are able to move around and take up jobs, wherever advertised in the EU, appropriate to their skills and qualifications. Diana is also a fully qualified Blue Badge tour guide for London. She lives in London with her husband and four children. ![]() “Diana Madill did an excellent job moderating the 2008 Siemens Management Forum.
